Welcome to the Walled Garden Caravan and Camping Park.
Our quiet, secluded park is set within the historic Kilkerran Estate, home of the Fergusson family. Surrounded by many specimen trees, the park is well sheltered and is a real suntrap during the summer months.

The park's tranquil atmosphere provides the ideal setting in which to unwind and relax. We will be only too pleased to help you plan activities and suggest outings.
Our aim is to provide the very best in personal service and Scottish hospitality and pride ourselves in the warm, friendly atmosphere at the park. We look forward to meeting you.

It’s been a late start to the season with the snowdrops coming later than usual and then staying long enough for them to be still blooming while the daffodils were out - something I haven’t seen in the 20 odd years we have been here. The weather was cold but dry and, with the correct clothing, walking the dogs in the woods was a joy. Now, with some sunny warm days, all of a sudden thing are catching up! Bluebells are just bursting out and the Chestnut trees are sporting their candelabra, the woods are full of Primroses and down by the burn the Skunk Cabbages are lovely to look at - from a distance! Bargany Garden (about 4 miles from our park) is open to the public for a small fee at around this time of year so that we can all enjoy the beauties of the boathouse pond surrounded by Azaleas and Rhododendrons.

On the 2nd April, Jim had an accident resulting in a fractured pelvis! He is one month in to a four month recovery plan. Those of you who know him will be aware of just how big a job I have in stopping him from doing too much too soon! As Jim’s mum, Frances, now needs 24 hour care, she has moved in with us at the cottage so we are relieved and pleased to have a great team of people making sure that everything at the caravan park is running smoothly and efficiently. You can be sure of a friendly helpful welcome as usual!
Regular guests and visitors who enjoyed the convenience of the Crosshill Arms just over 2 miles away will be pleased to hear that it has re-opened as The Willie Wastle Inn. Those of you who know some Burn’s lore will be aware that Willie was one of Rabbie’s best friends and had a wife that Rabbie states in verse that, “I wad na gie a button for her”! It seems to me that wives were the only females that oor Rabbie didn’t have a good word for. But everyone is welcome at The Willie Wastle Inn and if you dine in pairs there is a buy one get one free promotion making a 3 course meal less than £20 for two!
As the park is in the countryside we do not have mains drainage but rely on a septic tank system. Consequently, our Toilet Chemical Disposal discharges into this tank. For the tank to work efficiently and not to pollute the soakaway only biological fluids such as Fenwicks Top and Tail or Biomagic can be used. Any fluids used must not contain Formaldehyde or any other chemicals that would kill the septic tank 'good' bacteria.
If you have any doubt about the suitability of your fluid do not put it in your cassette until you have checked with the Proprietor. We have the proper fluid(Fenwicks Top and Tail ) available here in single doses for 40p or 2.5ltr bottles for £10 if you are wanting to go really Green.Your cassette should be well rinsed out before Top and Tail is used as a residue of Formaldehyde can leech in to the plastic inside your cassette and make it more difficult for Top and Tail to work efficiently. Fenwicks make a cleaner called Fendox that can rid the formaldehyde from your cassette for good. Do your bit for the environment and cut out the nasty chemical fluids that are now out of date!!
